Thamarai Matriculation Higher Secondary School was established in the year 1999 with the primaryobjective of imparting quality education at an affordable cost to children of rural area. Since then our school has been promoting top-class academics and character building education. Set amidst rural, rustic surroundings the management and staff are ever striving to shape the institution into one of extraordinary excellence and make learning a joyful experience.
As we approach the beginning of the second decade of Thamarai School's existence, I am proud that the establishment that I founded in memory of my parents is prospering and fulfilling my dream of providing a seat of learning for so many aspiring young citizens of India.
We are fortunate indeed to have a campus which, whilst in the midst of a bustling city like Erode, is un crowded and free from the noise and pollution of modern day life. It is an ideal place to spend a childhood.
Our School roll is made up of students from all parts of India and my prime wish is that many children will share the experience of a co-educational schooling, spent in a spirit of comradeship and happiness, learning self-discipline and the benefits of high-quality teaching which is so necessary in today's demanding and competitive world.
Thamarai's aim is to retain the value of individual attention - each student becomes known and familiar to all the staff, the intentional low teacher-to-student ratio ensures this.

The institution has fully equipped state-of-the-art laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Enough apparatuses are made available in the labs to enable all the students to have hands-on experience in performing the experiments.
Our school has Educomp Smartclass, a contemporary technological aid to foster learning. Besides that AV aids, LCD projectors, Power point Slides add to our educational wares.

Our school hostel is in our school campus. The rooms are large, well lit and ventilated with only beds. Sufficient bath rooms and toilets are built to avoid waiting and for hygienic maintenance. The mess is very neat and offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
Expert cooks provide delicious and nutritious food. Hostel warden and hostel masters are available 24x7 on each floor to monitor the activities, studies and discipline. Our hostel provides a resident nurse 24x7 to take care of student's health.
